Machining
BWM has two automated machining sites for small and medium series up to 100,000 pieces.
Components are machined to the µm level in a wide range of metals (bars, plates, forgings, castings…) including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, brass, titanium, and synthetic materials.
BWM manufactures its own tooling (milling, welding, pressing, and inspection) for the production of specific parts in the small arms sector: components, accessories, weapon supports.
BWM guarantees exclusive use of these calibers and tools for the client, and they are stored for future orders.
Equipment
24 milling centers
- 13 x 5-axis milling centers, some with palletization systems for producing parts up to 1000x1000x600 mm
- 3 x 4-axis milling centers (maximum 1200x500x500 mm)
- 8 x 3-axis milling centers (maximum 800×500 mm)
8 turning centers
- 8 twin-spindle, Y-axis CNC lathes with one or two turrets, ranging from 5 to 450 mm, equipped with a bar feeder or robot.
Conventional machines
- Flat and cylindrical grinders
- Sinking EDM machines
- Loading robot
